Polished on Purpose Wins The Liebster Award
Today Polished on Purpose accepted The Liebster Award! It’s specifically for small bloggers that are starting out – given to bloggers by bloggers. The Liebster Award was created to introduce, recognize, and help discover new bloggers and welcome them to the industry. As of today, Polished on Purpose has been live for just over 4 months, so I happily accepted this award! Wayfaring Kiwi nominated me, so thank you very much! Below are some questions she has asked me:
1. Tell us about your blog
Polished on Purpose is a place for me to share all of my interests and along the way, hoping to help and inspire other women. I also have a few projects in the works including a book with stories from self-made women, and interior decorating services.
2. What has been the most rewarding experience your blog has brought you?
It's been such a short period of time, so I still have a long way to go to meet my big goals. So far, it's definitely opened up a lot of opportunities to participate in things I otherwise wouldn't.
3. What is the best piece of advice you can give your readers?
Take care of yourself. I'm talking skincare and your body! I don't know about you, but I want to live a very long life, and a healthy one at that! There are many tips that will keep wrinkles away. Exercising every day and eating the right foods will keep you healthy and strong.
4. What is your favorite travel destination and why?
Well, I'm currently trying to travel to all 50 states to follow my grandpa's footsteps. South Padre Island for spring break during college was an amazing trip, Punta Cana for a friend's wedding was fabulous, and New York City was incredible!
5. Where would you love to go to in the world?
I've heard so much about New Zealand, I'd love to check it out! I've also never been to Europe and that's definitely on the list! France and Italy for sure!
6. If someone were visiting your city or town, what would you suggest they do?
Oh man, I have such a long list of things to do! I'm in Austin, Texas, and I'd definitely recommend to Hike Mount Bonnell, go to Chuy's Tex-Mex, walk down South Congress Avenue, Rainey Street, eat BBQ anywhere, and go see the bats on the bridge.
7. What makes you deliriously happy?
My dogs. I could hang out with them all day!
8. What is your guilty pleasure?
Kraft Mac 'n Cheese, macaroons, and scrolling through engagement rings on Instagram.
9. What have you accomplished this year in your personal life?
Our biggie was buying our first house! It feels so good to call our own place home, and think about raising our future kids here. Of course, starting my blog has been an accomplishment as well.
10. What are you most grateful for in your life?
I don't think there's just one thing in my life that I'm most grateful for. I am grateful for the city I live in, and that my mom moved here with me from Wisconsin. I'm also grateful for my boyfriend Ross and my dogs. They mean everything to me, along with the rest of my family.
